Compare Botafogo last 10 games with its opponents in the race for the title
Botafogo, leader of the Brazilian Championship with 59 points, is getting ready for the last 10 matches of the season. The team has been at the top for 27 rounds and now faces a decisive run that includes three games against G-6 rivals (the top six) and two matches against Z-4 teams (the relegation zone).
This Sunday, Lúcio Flávio’s side kicks off this final stretch against Cuiabá at 8 p.m. in Rio de Janeiro.
A Historic Title Within Reach
The Alvinegro are closer than ever to winning their third national title. The last time Botafogo were champions was back in 1995, 28 years ago. With a solid lead, the team dreams of securing the trophy even before the final round.
Currently, Botafogo hold a seven-point advantage over second-place Bragantino. In two weeks, the two sides will meet in a direct clash in the 34th round—a match that could be decisive.
Adding to their confidence, Botafogo will play four games in Rio before that, three of them at home. In total, they still have five matches under their home control until the last round.
