Benfica may still be celebrating their 38th league title, but preparations for the new season are already moving forward. The team is expected to begin pre-season training at the end of July.
Although the Eagles haven’t released their full schedule yet, one match is confirmed. FC Basel have announced, on their stadium’s big screen, that they will host Benfica on July 16.
The match will be a special occasion for Basel, as it will also serve to unveil their new kit and team bus. For Benfica, it comes just a week before the Portuguese Super Cup clash against either FC Porto or Sporting Braga.
